Ranjit Singh Bajwa, better known by his stage name Ranjit Bawa, is an Indian singer and actor who was born on March 14, 1989. His connections are mostly in Punjab’s music and cinema industries. His career was boosted by his breakthrough single “Jatt Di Akal” from his 2015 album Mitti Da Bawa, which took home the Brit Asia TV Music Award for “Best World Album.” Furthermore, he received the “PTC Best Folk oriented Song Award” in 2013 for the song “Jatt Di Akal.” Of his songs, only “Impress” and “Yaari Chandigarh Waliye” have made it to the UK’s Asian and Punjabi music charts. Ranjit Bawa made his singing debut in 2013 with the song “Jatt Di Akal,” for which he was awarded the “PTC Best Folk Oriented Song Award.” His album “Mitti Da Bawa” won “Best World Album” at the 2015 Brit Asia Awards. Born on March 14, 1989, in Gurdaspur, Punjab, Bawa did his graduate studies at Khalsa College in Amritsar after completing his undergraduate studies at Guru Nanak College in Batala. Bawa received a master’s degree in music from Guru Nanak Dev University.
