Early Life and Education

Simar Doraha was born into a Jatt Sikh family in Doraha, a town steeped in Punjabi culture. He completed his basic education at the Punjab University-affiliated Shri Guru Nanak Sen. Sec. School in Doraha before pursuing his education at the S.C.D. Govt. College in Ludhiana. His innate curiosity led him to pursue post-graduation studies in psychology, a field that would later influence his music.

Career

In 2017, Simar Doraha gave music a go as he penned the lyrics for “Kade Kade,” a song by Pavii Ghuman. This became his first release in the Punjabi music industry as a songwriter. A month later, he had a significant breakthrough when he sang a melodic part in the song “Pehla Pehla Pyar,” which was uploaded to the “Swankdesi” YouTube channel. It was his first time singing, and it set him up for success.
