Early Life and Education

Simar Doraha was born into a Jatt Sikh family in Doraha, a town steeped in Punjabi culture. He completed his basic education at the Punjab University-affiliated Shri Guru Nanak Sen. Sec. School in Doraha before pursuing his education at the S.C.D. Govt. College in Ludhiana. His innate curiosity led him to pursue post-graduation studies in psychology, a field that would later influence his music.


In 2017, Simar Doraha gave music a go as he penned the lyrics for “Kade Kade,” a song by Pavii Ghuman. This became his first release in the Punjabi music industry as a songwriter. A month later, he had a significant breakthrough when he sang a melodic part in the song “Pehla Pehla Pyar,” which was uploaded to the “Swankdesi” YouTube channel. It was his first time singing, and it set him up for success.

Rising to Prominence

Simar Doraha’s gift was immediately recognized, and his distinctive look and strong voice won him praise. He was awarded several accolades for his outstanding Bhangra dancing abilities and his passion for the dance during his college years.
