Neeti Mohan: Multilingual Singer, Award Winner, Philanthropist

Singer Neeti Mohan is from India. She sings in English, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Bengali, Marathi, Punjabi, and Hindi movies primarily. She was selected for Aasma along with other Popstars winners. Born in Delhi, she was one of the winners of the reality show on Channel V. Once she recorded “Ishq Wala Love” from Student of the Year (2012), she became well-known. She went on to win the Filmfare RD Burman Award for New Music Talent, and for “Jiya Re” from Jab Tak Hai Jaan (2012), she was nominated for Best Female Playback Singer.

Reviewers of her performance of the six jazz pieces on the Bombay Velvet (2015) soundtrack album by Amit Trivedi gave it excellent reviews. She was nominated for a second Filmfare the following year for the song “Sau Aasmaan” from Baar Baar Dekho (2016). During that year, Mohan participated in both The Voice India Kids‘ first and second seasons as a coach. Personal Life of Neeti Mohan

 She was raised in a middle-class, musically inclined household and is originally from Jaipur, Rajasthan. Her interest in music and singing began when she was young because she loved watching Lord Krishna’s devotees when she and her family would visit the Iskcon Temple in Vrindavan.

She has had a passion for singing since elementary school, which led her to compete in several singing competitions, win numerous awards, and establish herself as a well-known vocalist there. Her mother gave her a gold pendant with her name engraved on it when she finished her tenth grade because she loved and used her mother’s jewelry before receiving the pendant.

She participated in extracurricular activities in college, including dance, music, theater, and the National Cadet Corps (NCC), which allowed her to travel to many locations with NCC groups. She has loved music since she was a little child, having heard many of A.R. Rahman‘s songs from the 1992 and 1995 films Roja and Bombay. She made the decision to pursue a career in music, and she attributed most of her success to her education, which helped her develop her artistic style while requiring less work on her part.

Neeti enrolled in the singing program at Gandharva Mahavidyalaya in New Delhi, where she received classical Hindustani instruction. She married model Nihaar Pandya on February 15, 2019, at Hyderabad’s Taj Falaknuma Palace in front of close family and friends.

Career

Neeti Mohan’s singing has made her popular on television and in movies. In the 2005 film “Socha Na Tha,” she made her acting debut. Her acting credits also include “Baar Baar Dekho” and “Naanum Rowdy Dhaan.” She rose to fame in 2012 when she performed the song “Ishq wala love” from “Student of the Year.” She was one of the Popstars contestants on Channel V. She was selected for this reason and given the opportunity to perform alongside Bryan Adams as a member of the pop group Aasma. She performed numerous other well-known songs in Bollywood and other films from south India.

Personal Background

Neeti Mohan’s birthplace is in Delhi. Her mother, Kusum, is a stay-at-home mom, while her father, Brij Mohan Sharma, is a government officer. Shakti Mohan, Mukti Mohan, and Kriti Mohan are the three other younger sisters of Neeti Mohan. Dancers Shakti and Mukti Mohan made television appearances. Rumor has it that she is in a relationship with Nihaar Pandya, an actor and model.
